| The dude | I'm interested to hear what you guys are expecting from Cryptic, what abilities would you like your characters to have access to both on the ground and in space. Laws of physics cheerfully broken upon request.* *void where prohibited | ||

| | I'm definitely more excited about the space combat, I can't wait to command my own ship. If we can hit that bull's-eye, the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards. Checkmate! | ||

| | Blow up those annoying Cardassians. =D Actually, if anyone remembers the TNG finale, Picard travels to the year 2395. Perpetual set the game at around 2390 and I doubt Cryptic have changed it. in the TNG finale the Klingon Empire and the UFP are the two main powers, with uneasy border stuff. (Think along the lines of the 'neautral zone') Hopefully in 2395 this has escalated a bit into a PvP conflict. Klingon players against Federation players. Yes please. =D | ||

| I want the characters to be as human as possible. Walk, run, jump, crawl...a SIM's kinda thing would be cool. I want to be able to tap my communicator and call for people. I want to be able to replicate stuff and transport myself to other places. Turn on the E.M.H. I want to be able to go to my station and fight enemies in a start ship with other real people taking other roles. Like playing Guild Wars. Go on missions in real time with real people from different parts of the real world. Anyway thats what I want to be able to do. :) But Il play anyway. " Whatever the process and the means may be by which knowledge refers to its objects, intuition is that through which it refers to them immediately, and at which all thought aims as a means. But intuition takes place only insofar as the object is given to us. This again is only possible, for humans at least, when the mind is affected by the object...The capacity to obtain representations through the way in which we are effected by objects is called sensibility. Objects are therefore given to us by means of our sensibility. Sensibility alone supplies us with intuitions. These intuitions are thought through the understanding, and from the understanding there arise concepts. But all thought must, directly or indirectly, by way of certain characteristics, refer ultimately to intuitions, and therefore, with us, to sensibility, because in no other way can any object be given to us." ![]() | I have played WoW and several other minor MMORPGs, I'm expecting that style of game play. I'm hoping for a decent, easy enough to learn/use interface and decent references to the "current events" and history of the Trek universe. I wouldn't mind seeing "personnel quarters" that we could possibly customize (within reason) with our own "heritage" items? I'll let you know if I think of anything else. The odds are against us and the situation's grim... Sounds like fun. | ||

| The dude | I'm really liking the idea of engineering, exploring different worlds for new minerals, higher concentrations/purity of dilithium crystal. Then using my skills to fabricate new parts for my crew and the ship. Something close to the SWG crafting system with experimentation points would be ideal. | Walk around on the ships are a minimum, but I'd like to see ruins such as in the concept art and explore the Command and pretty much what is said above, but also visit the known planets such as Vulcan, Quo'nos, etc as well as new ones, but all in all, I'm most excidet about the entire experience. @Mig: The TNG finale is an alternate future timeline. The official version says that Enterprise-D was destroyed at Veridian III in 2371 in Generations, so no three-nacelled Enterprise there... Star Trek holodecks are going to be like a bunch of Hunters (Species) running around shooting each other with machine guns and rocket launchers. Instead of the modern day phasers... Now I get it! :P Vulcans make the best poker faces... | ||
